Clear, healthy boundaries are essential to the safe, ethical practice and teaching of spiritual sexuality. Modalities as defined and used in this site are expected to adhere to the boundaries described. Because there is no perfect common language or uniformity across schools and traditions, it may be that some practitioners will use language differently or claim different boundaries for their work. Any departures from the standard boundaries should be clearly stated. It is always a good idea to confirm the expectations around boundaries at the beginning of work with a practitioner, and at the beginning of each session.
